On November 3rd, 2019, our team gathered together at the beginning of class to start the process of editing. From the start, both me and Melshida brought our recorded footage and presented the product to each other. Once when the whole team was present at the start of class, the process of dumping the scenes came to play. The first scenes that got dumped onto our team's personal Macbook computer was the scenes that was recorded with the setting of a backyard. I provided the scenes that was recorded in my backyard which was originally supposed to be recorded at Warfield Park. Next, Melshida dumped her scenes that she recorded onto the team's laptop to start editing. Melshida provided scenes that consisted of clips showing a movie being watched along with the process of making popcorn. Originally, instead of showing a short clip of a movie being watched the scene was supposed to consist of a slumber party taking place. All the scenes both me and Melshida recorded over Thanksgiving break was transferred onto the Macbook laptop. Once when all of the scenes was dumped onto the laptop, the editing process has begun.
Flash forward to November 5th, 2019, our team met again to continue editing our music video. The first step we as a team conducted was organize each scene. Rejoice from her laptop clicked and dragged each scene dumped onto their proper order. The orders in which the scenes were organized was based solely on the order presented within the storyboard. From what the storyboard presents, the scenes that was first included were the scenes that took place in a backyard. The scenes that had the backyard setting was reviewed to check if any scene had to be rerecorded. So far, the only scene our group decided to rerecord was the part where one of the actors walk up to the camera along with the scene where the actor pours water onto the other. Besides the two scenes that needs more attention, the rest of the backyard scenes was included and ready to be edited. The next scenes that was fixed onto the software was the popcorn making clip and the scene where the actor watches a movie. Both scenes was reviewed and the team found no mistakes that had to be redone. Following the scene came the clips that involved the schoolyard which was rerecorded multiple times to get the effect of the actor looking like they were falling.
Once when all of the raw footage was placed in chronological order, the team wanted to include an effect where at one point in the music video everything will reverse right back to the beginning. The team implemented the reverse effect to check which speed the scenes should be reversed in. By the end, we settled on the speed read 8x which makes the scenes less slow and appear more realistically reversed. Rejoice dragged the scenes that had the reversed effect onto the back of the music video. In the beginning, the music video will have all of the scenes playing normally at its moderate pace. Once when the music video reaches a certain point towards the end the duplicated clip of the music video will be played but in reverse. The music video will start in the beginning and end up right in the beginning. Overall, when it came to editing the music video as a whole, our team didn't do as much edits. However, we did drag the scenes from the laptop and placed it onto the IMovie program our team is using for the editing process. Our team as well, organized the scenes according to the order of the storyboard and we began the editing process with figuring out how we wanted the scenes in reverse to appear in the final product.

Music Video Filming
Before our team went on break, we had to re-establish the roles each team member will carry out for the rest of the project. In the beginning, our team had a whole plan listed going from what scenes will be recorded to when everyone will meet up together. Because everyone had a tight schedule before the break begun, it made it seem as if the team could not have a scheduled day to meet at a specific place and record all the scenes necessary. This situation allowed for the team to split the scenes that will be recorded for each team member to carry out. As of now, all of the scenes that was meant to be recorded at the park was carried out by me within my backyard. Instead of the setting being the park every team member agreed to record in, the setting became the backyard of my house. As of the actors of the scene shot in the backyard, I was in the footage along with my sister, Stephanie. For the scenes of the music video where the actor is found making popcorn and having a slumber party, Melshida took the initiative to provide footage for those particular scenes. As of the school yard scene, me and Melshida thought to save that scene to be recorded when we came back from break so that on Tuesday after school the scene could be recorded and used for the final product. Finally, me and Melshida decided to hand the job of editing to Rejoice since she was not able to record any of the scenes of the music video due to having a tight schedule.
On Tuesday, November 26, it was the last day of school before Thanksgiving break started; both me and Melshida was present for class. During class, both of us rented out our own cameras and tripods so that over the break our scenes could be recorded and brought back for editing. Cameras and tripods was handed to each student during the last twenty minutes of class. While me and Melshida was waiting for the supplies to be handed out, we both were assigning each other scenes to be recorded during the break. We both as well changed a few details on the storyboard to make recording a bit easier for the both of us. For the scene where the actor was supposed to see various hallucinations of a specific individual, we changed it to be where the actor stands in the center with a shocked face while the camera will spin rapidly around the actor. Another scene that got changed was the part where the slumber party takes place; we both changed the slumber party scene to show an actor watching a movie or having fun on their own. Those two scenes were the main changes that occurred throughout the process; for the most part, everything else stayed the same. Flash forward to Thanksgiving break, on November 29th, Friday, I began to record the scenes that was meant to be recorded, originally, in the park right in my backyard. Both me and my sister were in the footage portraying the characters that was presented in the storyboard.
During the filming process, scenes were recorded out of order and not chronologically. For the most part, the scenes that was recorded first had the camera sitting on top of the tripod. When it came the scene where the camera had to flash around the actor quickly, the tripod was not used and the camera was hand held just for that scene particularly. The first scene recorded was showing the actor in the shot thinking and the camera tilts up to the sky slightly. Afterwards, a scene was recorded when a hand touches the actor's shoulder and the actor snaps out of a trance and turns back to look at the person. Following that scene came the recording of the actor walking up to the camera along with the actor dancing and coming forth to the camera. Next, came a flashback scene where two actors are seen walking up to the backyard while talking to each other. After that, the two actors was seen in the next scene where one of the actor spills water onto the main actor. The last scene that was recorded was the part of the music video where the scene had to be recorded by hand. The last scene consisted of the actor standing still in the center while the camera man runs around to create the effect of the room spinning around rapidly.

Music Video Filming
During the weekend starting from November 22nd to November 24th, our group did not take part in any filming yet. However, our group has decided to start filming during the Thanksgiving break starting on Wednesday, November 27th. We thought about filming at a nearby location named Warfield Park which is the closest park all three of us group members could meet up at. Our group has not setup an ideal time when we will meet, but we have considered meeting up around the afternoon. Our group thought about meeting up at the park just for that day. All scenes and takes will be recorded only on November 27th. Our group found it easier to record and retake any footage all in one day so that we don't have to reschedule for another meeting to record at the park. Our group, as well, planned on recording inside of Target, which is a store for shopping, for a scene where the slumber party will take place, but we will record the scene around the home decor section. Our group members will call ahead of time to get permission to record inside Target. Between the days from November 27th and December 6th, our group will edit any scenes we obtain at the moment. Edits will be made to scenes acquired to lessen the workload for our group.
If our group had a chance to record over the weekend, we would have recorded our first scenes which would have took place at Warfield Park. Our group would most likely go in order when recording the scenes of the music video. We would have first recorded the actor thinking about a flashback which would be followed up by the events that took place in the past. Then, the actor would come back to the present only to start hallucinating about the person in the flashback. A hand will reach for the actor's shoulder to get the actor out of the trance. For a moment, the actor will look back at the very spot the hallucination was seen and the person of the hallucination will start to disappear. The next scene will show the actor walking along the park and singing to the song being played. From there, the scene will transition onto another setting which will be scheduled for recording on another day. Our team would have looked back on the footage recorded and decided which scenes to retake or keep. From there, any scenes that didn't appeal to us would have been rerecorded and implemented into the final product.
Overall, if our group didn't have a busy schedule over the weekend, we would have took the opportunity to record the scenes in the park ahead of time. After all the scenes would have been recorded, our group would schedule a day to record in Target much more earlier than the set day. Edits would have been already made for the scenes that was recorded inside the park and any errors that comes up would have been dealt with. But since our group wasn't able to record over the weekend, our scheduled day of recording would remain to be on Wednesday, November 27th, the start of Thanksgiving break. On that day, our group will record all scenes that will be used in the music video and our group would also retake any scenes that needs to be recorded better. Our scheduled day to record inside of Target would continue to remain on December 6th. From there after the scenes in Target is recorded, our group will edit over the weekend the final scenes so that we could meet the deadline which is December 9th. If our team took a different route, we would have finished the whole music video much more earlier than expected. But because we had to take a slight delay, our project would still be finished on time but almost at the last minute. In the end, Our group will still record our scenes that we need and will put together a music video that will be turned in on time.

Music Video Storyboard
Within the last two scenes of the music video, our group decided to make the scene play out as if it was right back at the beginning, reversing all the way back to the point where the actor will be seen walking forward again. The ending scenes will take place in the present with the transition being a jump cut. The last two scenes will also take place at War field Park.
Between the scenes going from flashback to present or vice versa, the transition will be jump cuts. Having the scenes go from a flashback to a flashback will be followed by a burning out transition. Both the first and last scenes are gonna be recorded at War field Park. The first scene will be in the present showing how the actor is feeling by singing to the main song. The next scene is set up as a flashback which will show two actors having fun together while making popcorn in the kitchen. Followed by the scene will reverse back to the present showing a slumber party scene which will have a bedroom setting. After filming the slumber party scene, the next setting will jump right into the schoolyard where the actor will be located right in front of the stairs for building 5 of Fort Lauderdale High. The scene will be a flashback showing how the actor trips and drops all of their books. Finally, the last scene will be in the present within the park which will show the actor thinking alluding back to the very first scene of the music video.
Music Video Planning
Location: There will be a scene shot right in front of the stairs for building 5 inside Fort Lauderdale High school. Another scene that will be incorporated within the music video is a slumber party which will be recorded at our local Target (with permission) or IKEA furniture store. For the bulk of the music video, scenes will be recorded at War field Park in the city of Fort Lauderdale since it is the park closest to all group members.
Health and Safety: For a scene where the actor will trip in the schoolyard, cushioning will be provided so that the actor doesn't get hurt. When driving to our meeting point, each group member will comply with the rule of traffic and wear seat belts. When recording our slumber party scene, our group will ask permission to record in either Target, IKEA or Rooms-To-Go so that we don't break any rules. For the scenes that will be shot in War field Park, mosquito spray will be brought in case anyone is getting bitten easily.
Props: Our team thought about using flyers for a scene where the actor will be hallucinating about a person in their flashbacks. Books will be used during the scene where the actor will trip and drop all of their books in a flashback scene. Snacks, more specifically popcorn, will be used during a flashback where two actors will be seen making popcorn together in a kitchen. Lastly, park equipment, such as a Frisbee and ball will be used to make the park scene more joyful and natural.
Costumes: Regular shirt and pants that are brightly colored or pastel for all the scenes
Schedule: -11/18/19 to 11/22/19 our group was planning out how each scene will play out
-11/23/19 to 11/26/19 our group is gathering props and finding actors to be in our music video
-11/27/19 our team is recording inside War field Park
-11/28/19 Thanksgiving no one is recording
-11/29/19 to 12/01/19 our team will edit scenes that we already have
-12/02/19 our team will call Target in advance to see if we could record inside
-12/07/19 our team is editing
-12/09/19 Music Video is due

Intro to New Project: Music Video
On November 12, 2019, our group has officially completed and turned in the commercial. Based on our experience with the commercial, the filming process was the smoothest because our commercial was set in school where all the buildings needed was present. The location of the commercial was given and there was no need to plan a designated area. For our group’s commercial, the editing process was the stage where slight complications took its toll. In the editing stage, our group mainly had a hard time cutting down the footage to match the maximum number of seconds the commercial can be. As of today, our class was assigned to work on filming our first music video. For the music video, our group agreed to do the song “I forgot you existed” by Taylor Swift after both me and Melshida heard the song for the first time. Our team mainly picked the song for the reason being that Rejoice gave the idea of filming flashbacks and present scenes for the music video.
C- Our team haven’t specified the article of clothing the actors will be wearing, but we have settled on wearing only bright/ pastel colors.
L- Our team decided to conduct fluorescent lighting for a particular scene and mainly use natural lighting casted from the sun.
A- Our team wanted to include mainly two new actors with the inclusion of background.
M- No specific makeup would be used for the entirety of the music video just natural face.
P- For props our team settled with using books, popcorn, flyers, and park equipment (frisbees, ball).
S- Our team settled on filming scenes taking place in a park, the school, and in one of the group member’s house.
Our music video as a whole will be under the pop genre with music that will take its place as the main sound. The main camera movement our team wants to include was a flash pan for a particular scene that will take place in the music video.

Editing Process #2 Continuation
Last week, the school computers crashed and the commercial project was paused until laptops were brought for the whole class. Luckily for our group, we were able to use one of our team member’s laptop to at least start the editing process. However, even with the slight head start our team couldn’t proceed further until the rest of the class got the chance to edit their commercials. It was Tuesday, November 5th, 2019 and the class was provided with class laptops that had the program Pinnacle. Unfortunately, since there wasn’t a sufficient amount of laptops for every group, the class had to rotate. As for our group, we used our team member’s laptop to continue editing from where we left off. Comparing the current state of our commercial from the previous state, the project has progressed further with the addition of more footage, inserts, and transitions. Although our team didn’t completely finish the editing process of the commercial, we were able to progress further from where we left off. Each team member worked together to get the commercial halfway done. Same like last time, me and Melshida were able to help verbally with what edit flows more swiftly and Rejoice worked more hands on with the editing process since it was her laptop we used.
During class, our team first inserted more raw footage of our commercial onto the app, IMovie. The clips added are the scenes that incorporated footage of buildings 8, 5, and 17. Along with the addition of raw footage, the team as well incorporated inserts of our school that shows the rooms of the programs offered here at Fort Lauderdale High School. To make the clips flow together, the team added different types of transitions that made the transition of each scene smooth. As a whole, the transitions included within the commercial were swap, cross blur, fade to black, fade to white, and a circle open. Different transitions was used based on the upcoming scene. The next edit our team did was cut the parts where I’m included within the scene of the commercial. My job within the film was to announce the scene and take of the current shot. We had to edit my part out to get right into the actual part of the commercial. Getting back to the subject of inserts, inserts was included to show specifically the courtroom our school provides, the law program log, the band, and the front of the school for our ending. The courtroom and the band was shown to indicate the variety of activities provided within the school and the law program log shows the variety of classes given for the Law Magnet Program.
It was November 7th, 2019, the whole class was given another opportunity to finish editing their commercials just in time for the deadline. It was a Professional Study Day (PSD) which meant that each class was cut shorter than usual. Because today was a PSD day, the class had a shorter time making edits to their commercials. Although today was a PSD day, our team still managed to conduct some new edits. For today, our team incorporated the voice over for the commercial and tried to match the audio with the correct scenes. The team had to cut any unnecessary audio that was either just background noise or was a small pause. For the remainder of the class period, our team tried to cut the voice over to match with the coordinating scene and took out any parts that was not needed. Our team's commercial was currently over the 30 second limit being 34 seconds in total. Our team is planning to cut down the extra four seconds by minimizing certain scenes that are extra long. Overall, our team is close to finishing up the entire project and just has to, for the time being, edit minor adjustments.
